    After a few less than successful attempts at changing my hair color I decided to go in search of a professional to recolor my hair. I knew this Fantastic Sam's had opened up recently, as I live down the street from it and have seen the glass windows as opening up soon. Decided to give it a try over the Super Cuts across the street because I've rarely been impressed by Super Cuts and they prominently feature hair color.

    Went in to ask about how much it'd run to be greeted by four very attentive stylists, making an appointment that I later had to reschedule to Friday. Ultimately I got a hair cut and a full color while my mother came along and decided to give getting highlights a try, and was later convinced to get a haircut too. My hair was done by Samantha, while my mother got her hair done by Bea.

    While typically an up sell would be a bit of a frustrating aspect, when getting a haircut, Bea's claim of giving my mother a good hair cut was perhaps the single most truthful claim I've heard from a hair stylist. She did an amazing job, both with the highlights and the hair cut. As opposed to the typical blow out hair stylists seem intent on giving her, Bea gave my mother a fantastic cut full of waves and curls that genuinely surprised me. I say with no exaggeration that it was thee best hair cut I've ever seen my mom get.

    This is not to say Samantha did a poor job on my hair, quite the opposite. She did not have a whole lot to work with after, honestly, a very stressful week without my medication and a hasty decision to take scissors to hair I'd been growing out for over a year. She did a great job of cleaning up my hair, and completely fixed the horrible home-done dye job. My hair went from a hastily-cut, almost Beetlejuice/Joker green, to a clean, well-hued blue.

    We are both 100 percent happy with our hair, and entirely intend to return in the future. If you are looking for a good hair cut or dye, I highly recommend this Fantastic Sam's and their stylists.
